The science of colour

Rivers of Colour!
We have exploring colour this term. We have approached this in many ways including through maths and art. Today we revisited the science aspect of colour. We have already looked at how white light is created and how colour mixing can change what we see. We did this by creating spinners. We needed to investigate how colours are created by separating them - we used chromatography.

Experiment:

To investigate how colours are produced by separating them using chromatography

Here are some snapshots of us carrying out our investigation

Many, Many things

Many, Many things.....

We have been working on many things --- such as instructional writing - how to make a paper plane, how to make toast, how to brush your teeth! Our trip to the art gallery was AWESOME! Thank you parent helpers once again! We have also been exploring colour and geometry. Looking at cultures and dragons! We have also been learning a lot about Matariki. The Kiwi Kids News link has so many great resources so make sure you take a look.
